A General Collection of the Different Species of Shells that the sea contains by Wolfgang Knorr(1764-1773). A German paleontologist, as well as painter, draftsman, engraver, collector and art dealer. He published scientific works distinguished by their beautiful colored plates and was a key figure in making Nurenberg the center of fine natural history books.
